Easy Returns
Seven days, unworn, in the pouch it arrived in.
A wide meenakari choker with an oversized temple-style pendant — 18th-century Rajputana court jewellery, handcrafted anew.
Design Aesthetic
Steeped in the grandeur of vintage Rajputana and Mughal-era artistry, the Mahalaya Heirloom Enamel Polki Choker is a statement of legacy reimagined. It celebrates the opulence of 18th-century court jewellery with a majestic lattice of floral bursts, paisley elements and hand-painted enamelling.
The palette — anchored in regal ruby enamel and contrasted with deep emerald accents — draws the eye across a cascade of meticulously placed motifs. With its broad silhouette and oversized, temple-style pendant, this is less an accessory than an heirloom reinterpreted.
Materials & Craftsmanship
Handcrafted using a copper-based alloy and plated in antique gold tones to evoke an aged, royal finish. True to jadau-inspired techniques, the surface is enriched with faux polki stones and rich enamelwork, filled by artisans trained in the ancient meenakari tradition.
The green drops along the hem are glass-based beads shaped like emerald cabochons, individually wire-set and strung to form a tassel-like fringe that adds gentle movement. The back features a hand-knotted silk-thread dori closure in traditional multicoloured patterns.
Set Includes
- Wide handcrafted choker with pendant centrepiece
- Adjustable multicolour silk-thread dori
- Earrings not included
Styling Tip
Let this choker take the spotlight by pairing it with a deep sweetheart or U-neck blouse. Ideal over solid raw silks, deep velvets or contrast Banarasi fabrics, it lends richness to both traditional and fusion silhouettes. Pair with kundan bangles or a statement nose ring for a complete heritage look.
Occasion
A showstopper for bridal functions, mehendi soirées and heritage-themed shoots — and a collectible piece for anyone curating a wardrobe of classic Indian jewellery.
Care Instructions
Store flat in a padded box, away from moisture, perfume and chemical sprays. Wipe gently after each wear with a soft, dry cloth to preserve the lustre of the enamel and faux polki. Keep away from sharp objects to prevent chipping of the enamel fill.
Jewellery Care & Maintenance
- Remove before showering, swimming, or exercising to prevent damage.
- Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, and hair products to prevent wear.
- Store each piece separately in a zip-lock bag or soft pouch in a cool, dry place.
- Clean gently; avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or jewelry cleansers.
